Why now?

It seems, especially given the challenges of daily life, we all need a giant dose of the world’s great beauty these days.

There is no better moment than now! Join me in November 2016  for a special South African tour (download tour PDF).

We all need to be reminded of a simpler way and to establish connections that strengthen a warm sense of global citizenship.

The trip I have created to South Africa is one in which you will be be surprised and delighted often, moved to laughter and moved to tears. I don’t know what will tip you over the edge into something new.

Children at the New Dawn Creche.

  • Maybe it will be the smile of a shy three year old
  • or the congregation bursting into song at the Sunday church service.
  • Maybe it will be walking through the virgin woods
  • or staring into the eye of an elephant
  • or listening to the lions roar at night.

I do know that my aim is to awaken a vibrant sense of appreciation for our earth and a deep experience of connection to all beings.

Why Southern Africa?

Because the vitality and rawness of this ancient land will crack you wide open and nourish you beyond measure. It will fill you up with its spacious beauty, vibrant people and the unimaginable marvel of the animal’s world.

Africa changes you forever. Once you have been there you will never be the same.
– Brian Jackman

This was my experience and I want to make it yours.

Why should you join me for this experience?

Because I know your world and I am a die-hard Africa lover who has spent 18 years immersed in this world. I am eager to give you an in-depth, up-close experience of the people and this land that I love.

Mapusha's Gertrude gardening with a small friend. My deep ties with the women and children of the rural community of Rooiboklaagte will give you an opportunity —

  • to make friends,
  • to share
  • to laugh and
  • to dance with them.

As a long time practitioner of yoga and meditation I understand the need for space and quiet to digest what you see. Whether in the bush, by the sea or deep in the game reserve our trip with have flexibility and daily time to sit, walk, swim, read or do yoga.

Once you get off the plane in Johannesberg your job—
to simply relax into this amazing new world and trust that I will do everything in my power to give you the experience of a lifetime.
